This is my third Revelot watch. I got the R12 and the R11 in the collection. The R10 Admiral GMT is the third diver from the brand but with many firsts. The addition of the GMT complication as well as a new bracelet design with a special micro-adjustment system in the clasp makes the R10 a model that I would like to have in the collection.
To be honest, I should try to get a unit via Revelot’s website. It’s cheaper and there are a number of free gifts thrown in a purchase. However, going to a traditional brick-and-mortar shop is so much enjoyable with physical connection and interaction with the dealers. Unfortunately, one need to wait for sometime after the official launch to see a model in-person at the shops.
All my Revelot acquisitions came from Timekeeper in NU Sentral. They usually do not the whole range for sale as the Revelot only consigned models still not sold out from their webstore. If I recalled, there were only five out of the nine models available. Based on what's available, the green dial (R10 Admiral GMT Army Steel) was chosen.
The Series
There are nine models under the R10 Admiral GMT series. The models can be segregated into four categories; the first is the standard models priced at RM1,739 each; the second is the fully lumed dial models priced at RM1,799 each; the third is the meteorite model priced at RM2,299; and the fourth is the limited edition meteorite with Damascus steel model priced at RM3,579.

The R10 Admiral GMT series has the GMT function and uses the Seiko NH34 GMT automatic movement with date function as the engine. Also, the R10 also uses a new bracelet, a 5-piece link design with brushed and polished surfaces and connected with a pin-and-collar system and features a CNC milled glide lock
micro-adjustment clasp for instant adjustment without using any tool.
If given the option, I would have gotten the limited edition Damascus steel edition only because I never had that type of material in the collection before.
The Watch
The watch is made out of 316L stainless steel. The main body of the watch casing is an eight-sided block of metal with the typical openings, the front, the back and a tunnel for the crown stem. The width is 43.5 mm and the lug-to-lug length is 49.0 mm. Case thickness is 13.5 mm and it has a lug width of 22.0 mm. A heavy watch, it tips the scale at 200 gm. Designed as a diver watch, the construction is water rated to 200 meters.
The dial has a green theme with very unique texture. The chapter ring is sloping and has a 24-hour scale with Arabic numbering from 1 to 24 as well as 60 horizontal dashes painted in very light green. This is the scale where the GMT hand refers to. I like the way Revelot aligned the Arabic numbers. At the upper quadrant, the numbers are arranged with the dial side as the base but on the bottom quadrant, the numbers flipped the other way. This allows one to easily read the numbers on the bottom quadrant without needing to turn the watch around.
The next set of markers are the primary hour markers and located at the edge of the dial. Instead of individual hour markers, the designers at Revelot has decided to use four clusters of applied markers, painted with Super-LumiNova. The corners of each cluster combined to create a massive triangle for 12;00, 3:00, 6:00 and 9:00 while the rest have smaller triangle for reference. The 6:00 marker is different than the rest as a small aperture has been cut in the center of the triangle to view the date.
The dial texture has that spiraling radial design that is mesmerizing.
There are five lines of texts and logo on the dial. The logo and the brand is printed in white at the upper quadrant while the rest are at the bottom quadrant. Only the words "ADMIRAL GMT" is printed in red.
The hand-set is unique and this is the first time I have seen them used on a watch. The hours and minutes hands are designed like the 'Katar' knife or the Mughal punching dagger. The 'blade' section is painted with Super-LumiNova. The seconds hand is a thin needle-like and polished to a mirror sheen while the GMT hand is arrow-like, blacked out with the head having a red frame and filled with Super-LumiNova.

Based on the Revelot's website, the idea of the R10 came from the U.S. Navy’s futuristic-looking but problem-plague Littoral Combat Ship.
One of the biggest shipbuilding fiasco in history with years of development and cost overruns while not even able to fulfill its original mission brief. Whatever you want to say about the LCS, at least it is beautiful. This is what Revelot wanted to capture for the R10. In fact, the hours and minutes hand does look like the outline of the ship when viewed from the top.

Protecting the dial is a flat sapphire crystal with AR protection. The crystal is surrounded by a uni-directional bezel with fine checkering on the sides for grip. The bezel is made of ceramic and has a 120-clicks for a full cycle.
As a diver watch, the requirement is only to make the 12:00 pip to be lumed. However, Revelot has decided to lumed everything on the bezel which includes the line and Arabic numerals. Below is a photo of the watch in the dark. The lume used is the BGW9.
At 4:30 is the location of the screw-down crown with the Revelot logo on the top surface. The side of the crown is highly knurled for grip. On full screw-down, only a small bit of the crown is sunken into the casing. Nonetheless, the multi-sided casing will provide additional protection to the crown.
The case-back is a screw-down as well and has a very interesting etching. From the Revelot logo at the center, a design similar to the blades of a turbofan jet engine has been beautifully etched on the steel surface. Apart from that, some basic information are listed around the peripheral of the case-back. Unfortunately, Revelot does not provide serial numbers for the watch.
Underneath the case-back is the Seiko NH34 GMT automatic movement. Apart from the the standard 3- hands, this 24-jewel movement comes with date and GMT complications. Operating at 21,600 BPH, the movement has a 41 hour power reserve.
The two photos above also shows the 22.0 mm wide lugs that does not have a pass-through lug holes. Nonetheless, Revelot provides quick-release lug pins for the bracelet.
The 5-piece link bracelet uses a pin-and-collar system to link the bracelet together. The bracelet tapers down from 22.0 mm to 20.0 mm at the clasp.
The bracelet is well made from solid 316L steel. Using CNC machines, the bracelet is built solidly. Even the bridge between the two sides of the bracelet is from a solid piece of steel.
The best feature about the bracelet will be the glide lock
micro-adjustment clasp for instant adjustment without using any tool. As you can see in the two photos above, the one on the right shows the glide lock fully extended (when compared to the photo on the left).
The Wearing Experience
This watch is a substantial sports watch which usually sits very obviously on the wrist. Some people may find it to be too big and aggressive. Below is the watch on my wrist.
If the size and weight are not red-lines to you, Revelot has many model options available. Just visit their website or some of the ADs to see what's available that may interest you. Below is a short unboxing video of the watch.
Overall, the R10 is a handsome watch and very capable for the price it is sold at.
