Invicta All Black Eight (8) Slots Impact Watch Box - Bulky but Safe, A Review

I actually bought this high impact watch box via Amazon a number of years ago. However, I just realised that I have not written a review about it. To rectify this, I present to you a complete review of the Invicta All Black 8 Slots watch box for your reading pleasure.

You can find this product listed on Amazon. Made out of high-impact plastic, it has a very strong resemblance to a Pelican case. The case in black with a foam interior with 8 removable cushions capable of handling extremely large watches. It is impact resistant and dust-proof. It weighs around 5 pounds. Height is approximately 6-3/4 inches, depth around 12-1/2 inches with a width of 15-1/2 inches.

In a normal watch box, the size could allow Invicta to allocate at least 12 slots. However, the slots are more generously proportion than normal with the height, depth and width of 2-3/8 inches, 3-1/2 inches and 2-1/2 inches, respectively.

The box is hinged at the back and locked into place via a pair of latches in the front. Visually, the watch box looks indestructible. It has reinforced ribs at all along the perimeter which strengthen the structure. The Invicta brand and logo is prominently painted on the side of the box in white.

It has a well constructed handle with dual tone of black and grey with finger grooves molded for carrying comfort.

The latches are heavy-duty and grips the two sides of the box securely. With approximately 2 inches wide, it is easy to grab with your fingers. At both corners of the box you will find a hole drilled through the two sections of the box where you can attach a padlock for added security.

With rubberised gasket seal along the inner edge of the watch box, it is dust-proof as well as (to some extent) water-proof although this was not mentioned in the specifications. In the photo below you can see the ample space available to add more slots.  As it stand, the slots allocated are capable of handling large watches.

For reference, the foam can be replace easily. If you would like to add more watches, you can design your own slots using a new foam. Based on my rough estimate, if you don't have super-sized watches, you can comfortable put in three (3) rows of five (5) slots.

Overall, I am impressed with the offering by Invicta. Looking at my old records from my Amazon account, I bought the item December of 2012. It cost me USD84.99 for the item and an additional USD35.98 for Shipping & Handling. Although bulky, it sure protects what's inside. Below was the shipping box it came in.
